IKEA VILBORG Curtain

We think that the IKEA curtain VILBORG is really well-designed product.

Dios is an agent for Kawashima, a leading Japanese curtain manufacturer.　Kawashima’s fabrics are famous for traditional Japanese women’s kimono techniques, and the quality of curtains is number one in Japan.

The price is about 10 times more expensive than IKEA curtains. Kawashima is one of the most expensive curtains in Japan.

However, there are many curtains other than Kawashima whose fabric is similar to Kawashima’s. IKEA curtains, on the other hand, are unique. Very individual. We don’t think IKEA is better because it’s cheaper, we think IKEA is better value even if the price is the same.

Shoji screen

We did the work to put up the shoji by ourselves.

One day I stayed at a cheap old inn with my American friend. However, that cheap inn had a small window with a small lattice.

He said, “In Japan there is an aesthetic sense even in such a cheap hotel.”

In other words, in America, if you spend a lot of money, there are buildings with aesthetic sense, but if you don’t spend money, you can’t find aesthetic sense.

Japanese shoji screens give the room a perfect balance of light and shadow.

In Japan, you don’t have to live in a luxury home to find a sense of beautiful interiors.

Japanese Precious Wood of Mt. Yoshino, Nara Prefecture

This month we visited several timber-related businesses near the Yoshino River in Nara Prefecture.

The Yoshino River flows through the center of Nara Prefecture and the northern part of Wakayama Prefecture to the sea, but there are many lumber and furniture processing industries along this river. Geographically, I think the Yoshino River was used to transport trees cut down from Mt. Yoshino and the mountains of Wakayama Prefecture. It is believed that the lumber-related business has a long history.

We drove on the narrow and rough road of Mt. Yoshino and visited Tokuda Meiboku Co., Ltd in Kurotaki Village. When I called Tokuda office in advance, the lady staff kindly accepted our visit, saying, “Yes, please, please come on !.”

When I entered the building of Tokuda Meiboku, I was surprised to see a huge number of natural trees lined up. There are many companies in this area who are engaged in forestry and lumber industry, but they did not do the same thing, and they seemed to be different. Above all, the president of Tokuda Meiboku Co. Ltd has a management strategy that treats natural wood in a dignified manner, and I think it deserves special mention.

I think most of the people who visited Tokuda Meiboku will be surprised by the size and quality of the wood, but I was different from other people. Rather than the splendor of the wood, the natural wood, which is said to have 30,000 different shapes, was properly labeled with numbers in the warehouse and kept in order. I was impressed by the fact that Mr. Tokuda has a very high management ability. I think that the internal control of accounting is also excellent.

I completely liked it. Since I came all the long way to the mountains, I bought as much of this company’s trees as I could put in my car. I would like to make a dining table or shelf using these wood. Tokuda Meiboku Co.Ltd is a forestry, so they will cut good quality cedar and cypress from the mountains. What you do with the tree depends on the creativity of the buyer. It seems that there are also artists. Depending on the creativity of the purchaser, I think that the range of use of natural wood, “how to utilize it,” has great potential.

Futon in winter

Ich möchte erklären, warum Dios Co., Ltd. lebende Zimmerpflanzen in die Wohnimmobilien unserer ausländischen Kunden steckt.

(1) Die Luft im Raum wird sauber.
Wir haben eine Luftreinigungsmaschine in den Wohnungen ausländischer Kunden installiert. Nach meiner Erfahrung ist dieser Luftreiniger bei unseren Kunden sehr beliebt.
Auf der anderen Seite erhöhen lebende Pflanzen den Sauerstoffgehalt und absorbieren schädliche Substanzen. Lebende Pflanzen sind natürliche Luftreiniger.

(2) Trocknen verhindern
Lebende Pflanzen sind sowohl natürliche Luftreiniger als auch natürliche Luftbefeuchter. Im Winter ist die Luft in Japan trocken, sodass Laubpflanzen mit der Kraft der Natur angenehme Luft erzeugen können.

(3) Waldbad
Ich mag Bergwandern als Hobby. Wenn Sie in den Bergen spazieren gehen und die Waldluft einatmen, fühlen Sie sich wohl. Nach dem Wandern in den Bergen verbessert sich meine körperliche Verfassung. Ich denke, das liegt daran, dass der Wald einige gute Zutaten enthält. Grün heilt die Überanstrengung der Augen des menschlichen Auges.

(5) Wenig Glück
Ausländische Expats kommen zur Arbeit nach Japan, nicht zum Sightseeing. Ich denke, unsere Kunden sind jeden Tag in Japan beschäftigt. Wir möchten unseren Kunden einen entspannten Moment in ihrem geschäftigen Alltag bieten.

(6) Innenarchitektur

Our customers’ foliage plants

I would like to explain why Dios Co., ltd. Is putting live houseplants into our foreign customers’ residential properties.

(1) The air in the room becomes clean.
We have installed an air purifying machine in the residences of foreign customers. In my experience, this air purifier is very popular with our customers.
On the other hand, living plants increase oxygen and absorb harmful substances. Living plants are natural air purifiers.

(2) Prevent drying
Living plants are both natural air purifiers and natural humidifiers. In winter in Japan, the air is dry, so foliage plants can create comfortable air with the power of nature.

(3) Forest bath
I enjoy mountain walking as a hobby. Walking in the mountains and breathing in the forest air will make you feel comfortable. My physical condition improves after walking in the mountains. I think it’s because the forest contains some good ingredients. Scientifically, I believe that there must be ingredients in nature that are good for the human body that humanity has not yet elucidated.

(4) Good for human eyes
Most of my foreign customers are stationed in Japan and do hard work at their place of employment.
Green heals the eyestrain of the human eye.

(5) Little happiness
Foreign expats come to Japan for work, not for sightseeing. I think our customers are busy every day in Japan. We want to provide our customers with a relaxing moment in their busy daily lives.

(6) Interior design
At Dios, a professional interior coordinator designs the entire residential condominium.
We believe that having a little green is very important for interior design.

We believe that living plants provide blessings to our customers by nature.

Our customers’ foliage plants

Dios provides foliage plants in the housing properties of foreign customers.

Our customers rarely ask us for foliage plants. We will take it to your residential property at our own discretion.

Plants are alive, so our customers must water and grow them every day. Some people don’t water the plants because it’s a tedious and time-consuming task.

When our customers move out of our residential property and return home, the plants enter our warehouse. I didn’t water it, so all the leaves of the plants were gone.

I had given up that the plant must have died. Then I moved the plants from the warehouse to the balcony of my office. I gave water to the plants every morning. Then, the young leaves grew in the blink of an eye.

We were so happy that we went to the Home Center and bought potato seeds, carrot seeds, green onion sprouts, strawberry sprouts, soil, fertilizer and pots. And I put it next to the customer’s houseplant. Every day I poured water.

Our customers have taken the time to grow our tolerant plants. I thank our customers. And, at our company Dios, we want to continue to grow this foliage plant.
